Inn From the Cold

Below is a message from Joy Park of Inn from the Cold at St. Stephen's Church thanking us for the work we've done there to date:

Good morning Western Canada Interact Club members and staff,

Thank you so much for bringing the hand-baked desserts for our guests’ lunches last night.  Compassion has no minimum age and you should all be very proud. Your support is changing lives, and students such as yourselves are a great example that youth can make a difference in their community.   Your kindness and hard work gives us the tools to help Calgary homeless families move towards a brighter future with the tools and strategies they need to begin their life anew.

“I am Inn” is our 2011 theme.  By being "INN", you are ensuring that the change we make today will matter tomorrow. The Inn from the Cold is now proud to launch our new social media campaign!  Through Twitter and Facebook we are able to update the community on the events at the Inn, as well as impart stories of hope and inspiration from our guests.  Please visit us at
www.twitter.com/innfromthecold and www.facebook.com/innfromthecold.

I would also like to invite you to share this brief video, discussing the situation of Calgary’s homeless youth.  I hope it will awaken some fascinating discussions in your school.  It is called, “Right Here, Right Now – Driving Change in Calgary”.

You can view the YouTube video for that here.

So, thanks on behalf of the Club for representing Interact and Western so well. You guys are great!

Keep up the good work!
